Script Guide
Rust Cronus Zen Scripts
Rust punishes spray patterns harder than almost any survival FPS, which makes it the best test of a Cronus Zen anti-recoil script. The AK's 30-round spray has a pattern that takes hundreds of hours to master manually — the right script straightens it out automatically. This guide covers the best Rust scripts in the Vertex Zens library, the in-game settings that matter, and how Auto Tune V3 fits those values to your exact sensitivity.

Why Use Cronus Zen for Rust?
Rust's recoil system is deterministic — the same pattern every spray. That makes it ideal for scripting: a well-tuned anti-recoil script turns an AK spray into a tight vertical line from any range. Polar aim adds tracking through strafes, which is how most Rust PvP actually plays.
- AK-47 and LR-300 spray patterns straightened for mid- and long-range fights
- Polar aim logic that tracks targets through lateral strafes
- Auto-sprint and auto-crouch macros for monument and raid QoL
- Quick-scope support for bolt-action and SAR play
- Auto-breath for long sightline shots with scoped rifles
Recommended In-Game Settings
These settings are optimized to work alongside Cronus Zen scripts. Running the wrong sensitivity or deadzone will reduce script effectiveness significantly.
| Setting | Recommended Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mouse Sensitivity | 0.3–0.7 (or your personal value) |
Note the exact value — it's the most important Auto Tune V3 input |
| Scope/ADS Multiplier | 0.7–1.0 |
Lower = less ADS kick during anti-recoil correction |
| FOV | 90 (or your personal value) |
FOV affects screen-pixel-to-angle ratio — note it for AT3 |
| Graphics Quality | Any |
Does not affect script behaviour |
| Input Smoothing | Off (if available) |
Smoothing curves fight anti-recoil corrections |
Rust's sensitivity system uses a raw input value. When running Auto Tune V3, enter your exact sensitivity number as shown in the settings menu — round numbers like 0.5 are fine, but don't approximate values like 0.475.
Best Rust Scripts on Vertex Zens
The Rust scripts below are ranked by what the Vertex Zens community actually downloads and re-runs after each wipe. All free with a Discord login.
AK & Rifle Anti-Recoil
The core of the Rust script library. L4 Rust v6.1 is the current consensus AK pick — anti-recoil dialed for the post-2026 recoil tables. Pedros Nightmare adds polar aim on top for strafe tracking.
AK anti-recoil scripts are most effective between 30–80m. Beyond 80m, reduce your burst length and let the script handle the first 10 rounds rather than the full mag.
Polar Aim Scripts
Polar aim locks your crosshair onto a target while you strafe, compensating for lateral drift. Liquid Rust and Pedros Nightmare are both polar-aim heavy. Essential for rifle fights at 40m+ where left-right strafe movement would otherwise break your line.
QoL Scripts (Auto-Sprint, Auto-Crouch)
Quality-of-life scripts handle auto-sprint so you never forget to hold shift, and auto-crouch for tighter accuracy windows. Most full-featured Rust scripts (L4, Pedros) already include these — standalone QoL scripts are worth loading only if your primary slot is already taken.
Auto Tune V3 for Rust
Rust's recoil tables change with Facepunch's monthly updates and post-wipe balance passes. Auto Tune V3 re-fits any Rust script to your exact sensitivity, FOV, and scope multiplier in under 30 seconds.

Open Auto Tune V3
Go to vertexzens.com/autotune. Select your script, choose Rust, and answer a few quick questions about your playstyle.
Answer the tuning questions
Auto Tune V3 will ask: your mouse/stick sensitivity, FOV, scope multiplier, and which weapon you primarily use (AK vs LR-300 vs bolt-action). The AI uses Rust weapon recoil profiles to bias the anti-recoil compensation for your primary.

Tips & Tricks for Rust
- AK anti-recoil is most effective at 30–80m — don't try to full-spray at 120m+
- Run Auto Tune V3 after each wipe if Facepunch has pushed a balance patch — recoil tables shift
- Set auto-sprint to off in Rust settings and rely on the script's macro — double-triggering auto-sprint causes animation glitches
- Load polar-aim script on Slot 1 (rifles) and quick-scope on Slot 2 (bolt/SAR) to cover both playstyles
- Bolt-action scripts with auto-breath need you to hold the ADS trigger for 0.6s before the shot fires cleanly — don't quick-tap
- Practice spray control in the Compound shooting range before taking scripts into a raid
