Cronus Zen Valorant Setup Guide

Valorant's recoil pattern is the most punishable in any modern tactical shooter — the Vandal's first 8 bullets cost more games than any other weapon in the meta. A clean Cronus Zen anti-recoil script gives you back those 8 bullets without rewiring your spray from muscle memory. The setup below covers the controller-on-PC + Vanguard-aware load order our Discord uses for Competitive — flash, pair, load script, refit with Auto Tune V3.

What you need before you start

Step-by-step Cronus Zen setup for Valorant

  1. Step 1.  Flash & update Cronus Zen firmware

Open Cronus Zen Studio on a PC, plug your Zen in over USB, and hit Update. Valorant scripts assume firmware v3.x or newer — older builds drop input packets under load and aim assist feels stuttery.

  2. Step 2.  Re-pair your controller through the Zen

Plug your DualSense / Xbox controller into the Zen's controller port (not directly to the console). Valorant aim assist runs at the controller layer, so the Zen has to sit between the pad and the console for the script to do anything.

  3. Step 3.  Download a Valorant script from Vertex Zens

Sign in to vertexzens.com (free), open the Valorant script library, and download the .gpc that matches your loadout. Every script in the library lists features, downloads, and last-updated date so you can pick one that's still current after the latest patch.

  4. Step 4.  Compile & load the script to a memory slot

Open the .gpc in Cronus Zen Studio, compile it (F7), then drag it to one of the eight memory slots on the right. Save to the Zen, unplug, replug into your console, and hold the Zen's mode button to switch slots in-game. The Valorant script is now live.

  5. Step 5.  (Optional) Personalize with Auto Tune V3

Run Auto Tune V3 with your in-game sens, ADS multiplier, and FOV. The AI refits the script's anti-recoil and aim-assist values to your specific Valorant loadout — it's a one-click polish pass that survives most patches.

Common Valorant setup issues

Will Vanguard ban my Valorant account?

Vanguard is a kernel-level anti-cheat on PC and is more aggressive than Ricochet or BattlEye, but it does not currently detect controller-layer Zen devices on console. Riot's policy still treats input automation as a violation. Use at your own risk and never share account credentials.

Should I use a Vandal script or a Phantom script?

Different recoil curves entirely — the Vandal kicks harder vertically, the Phantom drifts more laterally. If you flex between both, grab the Vandal/Phantom Combo from the library; otherwise pick the one matching your most-used loadout.

Anti-recoil feels off after a Valorant Act change.

Riot occasionally re-tunes recoil at Act boundaries. Run the script through Auto Tune V3 with the Valorant preset and the AI refits compensation values to the new pattern in one pass.
