Cronus Zen Marvel Rivals Setup Guide
Marvel Rivals' hero-shooter recoil is mid-tier on most weapons — until you pick The Punisher or Winter Soldier, where the spray patterns punish anyone without a flat anti-recoil baseline. A clean Cronus Zen script gives you that baseline, plus the dive-character movement macros (Spider-Man swing-cancel, Iron Man hover-strafe) that keep you alive long enough to actually use your ult. The setup below is the load order our Discord runs in Competitive.
What you need before you start
- ✓ Cronus Zen device with firmware v3.x or newer (NetEase's anti-cheat trips on older builds).
- ✓ DualSense or Xbox controller — Marvel Rivals supports cross-play across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
- ✓ USB-A → USB-C cable for power and controller pairing through the Zen.
- ✓ Vertex Zens account (free) — required to download the Marvel Rivals script library.
- ✓ Cronus Zen Studio installed on a PC for compiling .gpc → memory slot.
Step-by-step Cronus Zen setup for Marvel Rivals
-
Step 1. Flash & update Cronus Zen firmware
Open Cronus Zen Studio on a PC, plug your Zen in over USB, and hit Update. Marvel Rivals scripts assume firmware v3.x or newer — older builds drop input packets under load and aim assist feels stuttery.
-
Step 2. Re-pair your controller through the Zen
Plug your DualSense / Xbox controller into the Zen's controller port (not directly to the console). Marvel Rivals aim assist runs at the controller layer, so the Zen has to sit between the pad and the console for the script to do anything.
-
Step 3. Download a Marvel Rivals script from Vertex Zens
Sign in to vertexzens.com (free), open the Marvel Rivals script library, and download the .gpc that matches your loadout. Every script in the library lists features, downloads, and last-updated date so you can pick one that's still current after the latest patch.
-
Step 4. Compile & load the script to a memory slot
Open the .gpc in Cronus Zen Studio, compile it (F7), then drag it to one of the eight memory slots on the right. Save to the Zen, unplug, replug into your console, and hold the Zen's mode button to switch slots in-game. The Marvel Rivals script is now live.
-
Step 5. (Optional) Personalize with Auto Tune V3
Run Auto Tune V3 with your in-game sens, ADS multiplier, and FOV. The AI refits the script's anti-recoil and aim-assist values to your specific Marvel Rivals loadout — it's a one-click polish pass that survives most patches.

Common Marvel Rivals setup issues
Anti-recoil tuned for The Punisher feels wrong on Winter Soldier.
Different recoil curves per hero. Use a script with a per-hero profile selector (the Marvel Rivals Multi-Hero pack in the library covers the meta picks) or run Auto Tune V3 with the Rivals preset for whichever hero you're playing.
Spider-Man swing-cancel macro misses the input window.
NetEase tightened the swing-cancel window in the Season 2 patch. Drop the swing-cancel delay by 2–3 frames in the .gpc tuning section, or grab the post-S2 revision from the library.
Will Marvel Rivals' anti-cheat detect the Zen?
NetEase's anti-cheat operates at the kernel layer on PC and does not currently detect controller-layer Zen devices on console. NetEase's policy still treats input automation as a violation — use at your own discretion.
