Season 5 weapon meta overview
The Finals Season 5 (2026) meta features:
- AKM / FCAR (ARs) — dominant mid-range picks. AKM has significant vertical recoil; FCAR is tighter but has more horizontal drift. Both benefit from per-weapon anti-recoil scripts.
- MP5 / XP-54 (SMGs) — close-range staples. Fast fire rate, manageable recoil. Aim assist extension helps more than anti-recoil at close range.
- LH1 (Marksman) — semi-auto DMR. Rapid fire script relevance — converting to near-full-auto at the semi-auto cap for aggressive mid-range play.
What VZ has for The Finals
The VZ library currently does not list The Finals as a separate game category, but general-purpose anti-recoil scripts work on The Finals with manual tuning for the AKM and FCAR patterns. As the game's player base grows, dedicated scripts are planned. Check the scripts library for current availability — the team adds new game coverage as titles gain traction.
In the meantime, using a general anti-recoil script and manually setting:
- Vertical recoil: 45–55 (AKM), 35–45 (FCAR) — start at the lower end and increase
- Horizontal compensation: slight right-to-left for both weapons
This gives a solid starting point while dedicated scripts are in development.
The Finals anti-cheat risk
The Finals uses EasyAntiCheat. As covered in the general detection guide, EAC operates at the process level and does not detect USB HID devices. The destructible environment in The Finals also creates natural variance in shot patterns that makes recoil compensation less statistically anomalous — cover changes angles, so perfect pattern replication is harder to establish as a baseline.
