Season 29 is one of the bigger silent-balance patches Respawn has shipped in two years. The R-301's vertical recoil curve was nudged ~8% steeper after the second-mag refresh, the Flatline's first-shot kick got softened, and the Havoc's wind-up timer was re-tuned. None of those changes broke the previous Apex scripts, but every one of them moved the optimal anti-recoil values just enough that scripts tuned in S28 now feel a half-shot off.
This is the new short list of what's actually winning fights in S29 — the free picks that hold up, the paid pick we just shipped, and the workflow for keeping any script current as the season patches.
The new flagship: Apex Predator S29
If you only read one section of this post: Apex Predator S29 is our new flagship paid Apex script and it was built ground-up for the Season 29 recoil tables. What makes it different from everything else in the library:
- Per-weapon anti-recoil split per deadzone — first Apex script to tune anti-recoil per gun and per controller deadzone. Same script feels right on a 5% deadzone DualSense and a 12% deadzone Elite Series 2.
- AI weapon auto-detect — the script identifies your gun in 1–2 shots and hot-swaps the anti-recoil profile. Zero manual cycling.
- 2 Touch Mod rework — pre-assigned weapon + optic + barrel combos for the new S29 attachment pool. Two-button equip mid-fight.
- Full movement stack — superglide, mantle boost, bunnyhop, jump spam, fast perk, zipline jump, all togglable.
- Per-buyer watermarked, PIN-locked — sold as a license, not a file. Get it at /shop or directly at /setup.
Predator S29 is paid because per-weapon-per-deadzone tuning takes ~6× the test time of a normal anti-recoil pass — and we update it across the season. Full release notes: Apex Predator S29 launch post.
Free Apex S29 picks that still hold up
If you're not ready to drop the cash on Predator S29 yet, these three free scripts are the ones still landing kills in S29 lobbies. All are in the live Apex Legends Cronus Zen scripts library:
- PandaAPX — still the most-downloaded free Apex script. Per-weapon hot-swap covering R-301, Flatline, Volt, Havoc, Devotion, Spitfire. The S28 anti-recoil values feel ~5% under-corrected on the new R-301 curve, but a quick pass through Auto Tune V3 AI rebalances it for the S29 tables in 30 seconds.
- Pedro's Nightmare — heavier polar-aim curve. Locks the reticle through smoke, gas, and Bangalore ult. Ash / Ballistic / Sledge entry-fragger pick. S29-stable as-is.
- R-301 Specialist (free tier) — single-weapon, single-purpose. Cleanest first install if you main the R-301. Re-tune through Auto Tune V3 for the S29 vertical curve and you're set.
What changed in Season 29 that matters for scripts
- R-301 vertical recoil — second-mag onward is ~8% steeper. Anti-recoil scripts tuned in S28 over-shoot down on the first half-mag and under-correct on the second half. Per-weapon-per-deadzone scripts (Predator S29) handle this natively; older scripts need an Auto Tune V3 pass.
- Flatline first-shot kick — softened ~12%. Old Flatline scripts pull the crosshair below center on the opening shot. Re-tune fixes it.
- Havoc wind-up — slightly faster engage. Burst-aware scripts (Predator S29, Pedro's, the Flatline+Havoc combo) handle it; pure delay-timed scripts mistime the first beam.
- 2 Touch crafting flow — Respawn re-added a streamlined 2-button equip path for replicators. The 2 Touch Mod in Apex Predator S29 maps directly to this; older scripts that pre-assigned attachments via D-pad cycle aren't broken but they're now slower than the in-game flow.
- Movement — superglide window unchanged, mantle boost timing unchanged. Movement scripts from S28 still work as-is.
The S29 patch-survival workflow
Whether you're on a free script or Apex Predator S29, the same workflow keeps you current as Respawn pushes mid-season patches:
- Free script users — download the GPC, drop it into Auto Tune V3 AI, enter your sensitivity + deadzone, hit tune. The AI rebuilds the recoil and aim-assist values for the current patch in ~30 seconds. Re-flash. Total time: under 2 minutes.
- Apex Predator S29 buyers — re-download from /setup after a patch. Updated values are pushed automatically; your existing buyer login still works. No re-tune needed for tuned-in patches.
- Both — re-flash the new GPC to your slot in Cronus Zen Studio (right-click slot → Compile → Build to Memory Slot). Cycle to the slot in-game and you're current.
